CSU’s scholarship application

The CSUSA (Colorado State University Scholarship Application) is a one-stop shop for applying to most scholarships at CSU. Filling out this application will put you in the running for all the CSU scholarships you are eligible for. Usually, you will only need to fill out the CSUSA for consideration, but some scholarships may require additional materials like letters of recommendation or work samples. The application is open to admitted students from October 1 to March 1.

Merit scholarships

If you’re an admitted freshman, you’ll automatically be considered for in-state or out-of-state scholarships based on your grades and academic achievements. If you’re transferring from another college, you’ll also have several scholarships opportunities. Most of these scholarships are based on your application for admission, and no additional application is necessary.

Tips and tricks

Looking for some help? The Office of Financial Aid offers tips and tricks to fill out a strong application:

  • Don’t wait until the last minute. Give yourself enough time to write a strong essay and provide any additional requirements that might pop up.
  • You don’t have to complete your application in one sitting. You can save it and come back at any time before the March 1 deadline.
