Student Media
If you want to get the scoop, spin some tunes, or work on your anchor-person smile, Colorado State University Student Media is the place for you.
Through
several award-winning student media outlets, Colorado State students
get a chance to put their work in class into action. The newspaper,
radio station, and TV station are all independent and student-run. That
means you work with your peers to hone your skills in the fast-paced
world of journalism, broadcasting, and media production
Rocky Mountain Collegian
The
student-run newspaper covers local, regional, and national news and
sports, and has plenty of room for student columns, editorials, and
features. The Collegian is a great source for student information -- both in print and online.
KCSU-FM
Check out this student "indy" at 90.5 on your FM dial. An eclectic mix cool tunes and student jocks makes KCSU a must-listen station on campus and in Fort Collins.
CTV
The crew at Campus Television
has won more Emmys than the cast of Seinfeld -- okay, maybe not that
many, but they've won a lot. The student-produced newscast is
continually placing in the top ranks at national contests. Take one
look at this polished, informative program and you'll see why.
Student Journals
The English Department publishes literary journals. Several are produced by students.
