GED Applicants
GED applicants must submit official GED scores, a high school transcript from the
last high school attended, ACT or SAT results (not required of students 23 years
of age or older or out of high school five or more years), an essay (minimum 250
words) and a letter of recommendation (preferably from a teacher or school-based
counselor). Strong candidates for admission present a minimum 550 GED average and
satisfy as many of the Freshman Admission Standards as possible.
To make the most of the holistic review process, GED applicants are encouraged to
use the essay to provide specific information about their educational background,
personal and professional accomplishments, and factors supporting a return to school.
