Resident Freshman Scholarships


Awards


+ First Generation Award: $4,000
+ Green and Gold Scholarship: $2,000
+ Monfort Scholarship: Student’s share of tuition and fees, additional stipends
+ Honors Scholarship: $1,000
+ Creative and Performing Arts Award: Varies
+ Academic College Scholarship: Varies

Non-Resident Freshman Scholarships


Awards


+ Presidential Scholarship: $9,000
+ Provost’s Scholarship: $7,000
+ Dean’s Scholarship: $5,000
+ Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE): $10,452 (estimated)

Note: Students can be awarded only one of the above scholarships. To be considered, students must submit a complete Application for Admission (including transcripts, test scores, processing fee, essay, and letter of recommendation) and meet specific academic criteria by February 1*. No additional scholarship application is required for consideration.

* WUE is awarded on an on-going basis provided funds are available.

Transfer Scholarships


Awards

+ Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: $2,000 (residents), $6,000 (non-residents)
+ Ram Transfer Scholarship: $1,000 (residents), $5,000 (non-residents)
+ Creative and Performing Arts Award: Varies
+ Griffin Foundation Scholarship: $5,000/semester
  • $5,000 per semester, renewable for three additional semesters provided requirements are met
  • Qualified applicants must have an associate degree or at least 60 academic hours from a junior or community college, be seeking to complete a baccalaureate degree, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and be a Colorado resident. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis by ranking applicants in the following areas: Scholarship, Leadership and Service, Personal Traits, Financial Need
