Engineering Students Win Honors in National Competitions
Colorado State University mechanical engineering students have again won first place in a national American Society of Mechanical Engineers human-powered vehicle competition. The competition involved 27 universities, all competing for pedal-powered supremacy. Colorado State won first place overall in the utility class and second place in the utility race. The team also earned first place in engineering design, and ranked fifth place overall for single-rider vehicles.

Rams Win 4 Out of 5 Titles to Close Out the Fall Season

CSU's Mann Defends National Cycling Title
CSU Rams Cycling celebrated a repeat national championship by men's Division I criterium winner Phil Mann, and placed third overall in Division I team standings, behind runner-up Fort Lewis College and winner Lees-McRae College. University of California-Davis and Stanford University rounded out the top five teams, and the University of Colorado-Boulder finished 7th.

CSU Women Win Lacrosse Intercollegiate National Championship
Colorado State scored the final six goals of the game on Saturday to beat Cal Poly 8-5 in overtime at Invesco Field at Mile High to win the U.S. Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.

Freshman Scholar Helps Animal Cancer Patients
Derek Van Uffelen, a student in the Freshman Scholars Program, and Dr. Joseph "Fred" Harmon, an assistant professor and medical physicist, are working on cranial fixation devices that will hold dogs and cats in place to ensure that their treatments provide the maximum benefit in killing cancer cells while limiting exposure of healthy cells.
