Deadlines and Notification
Deadlines
The deadline for all returning students to submit an Intent to Return Form, any required transcripts, and support documents is August 1 for the fall term and January 1 for the spring term. Refer to the How to Return section for instructions regarding required documents.
Early submission of your Intent to Return Form, required transcripts and support documents is highly recommended because you cannot register for courses or access other University services (such as Financial Aid) until your documents are received and processed. Intent to Return Forms are processed as early as 12 months in advance of the term you wish to return.
Other important details:
- Please allow four to six weeks for your documents to be evaluated and for transfer credit to be awarded.
- If you were dismissed from Colorado State University, your Intent to Return may not be processed until after your course work has been reviewed; therefore, it is imperative that you submit your materials before the deadline.
Notification of Application Status
Applicants are expected to check their application status online for the most current information.
Once an Intent to Return form is complete and is referred to the committee
for review, applicants can expect to receive notification of their
application status within a few weeks.
Depending upon students' academic status, some applications take longer to
review than others, and additional information may be requested before
a decision can be rendered.
Email
is a primary communication tool for Admissions. It is important that
applicants keep a valid email address on file with the Office of
Admissions at all times, that applicants check their email at least
once a week during the admission process, and that the domain
"colostate.edu" be added to the applicant's safe senders list.
