Transfer Equivalency

General Information

Colorado State awards credit in transfer for college-level academic courses completed with a grade of C- or better at an institution accredited by one of the seven regional accrediting associations.

The official transfer evaluation is completed within 2-4 weeks of admission to Colorado State. Once the official transfer evaluation is complete, the admitted student's Colorado State record reflects credits granted in transfer but not the grades earned at other institutions.

Additional transfer credit may be received from the Advanced Placement (AP) exams (typically scores of 3,4,5); International Baccalaureate (Standard and Higher level, grades four or higher); British A-Level passes, German Abitur and Italian Maturita; and University-level academic work at institutions outside of the United States (admitted students are advised to bring or send in advance any available course descriptions, syllabi, or university/college catalogs that will assist our transfer of credit evaluators in assessing work for equivalent credit).

You are encouraged to consult u.select, an online database that lists course equivalencies at all Colorado institutions and a wide range of non-resident colleges/universities for which information is available.
