Directions to Campus
Directions to the Admissions Welcome Center (Ammons Hall) - Daily Information Sessions & Campus Tours and the TransCentral Program
- Exit I-25 at Prospect Road (Exit 268).
- Travel west on Prospect Road approximately 4 miles to College Avenue.
- Turn right (north) onto College Avenue.
- Continue approximately 0.7 miles and turn left (west) onto Laurel Street.
- Travel west on Laurel Street to Howes Street/Oval Drive.
- Turn left (south) onto Oval Drive. The road will bear right as a one way street. The Admissions Welcome Center, located in Ammons Hall, is the second building on the right.
- To park, take the first right-hand turn (about 100 feet after you bear right onto the Oval), into a small "A" parking strip. Proceed west into the larger parking lot (Lot 315) that is southwest of Ammons Hall. If that lot is full, proceed further west into the next "A" parking lot (Lot 310).
- You can pick up a Visitor Parking Permit for "A" parking at the reception desk in the Admissions Welcome Center (located in Ammons Hall). Please note that Visitor Parking Permits are not required on Saturdays.
ALTERNATE Directions to the Admissions Welcome Center (Ammons Hall) - Daily Information Sessions & Campus Tours. (If Oval Drive is closed for a special event, please use these alternate directions.)
- Exit I-25 at Prospect Road (Exit 268).
- Travel west on Prospect Road approximately 4 miles to College Avenue.
- Turn right (north) onto College Avenue.
- Continue approximately 0.7 miles and turn left (west) onto Laurel Street.
- Turn left (south) at Meldrum Street, which will take you onto campus and into parking lot (Lot 310). The Admissions Welcome Center, located in Ammons Hall, will be to your left (east) as you enter the parking lot.
- Parking is available in Lot 310 or Lot 315.
- You can pick up a Visitor Parking Permit for "A" parking at the reception desk in the Admissions Welcome Center (located in Ammons Hall). Please note that Visitor Parking Permits are not required on Saturdays.
Directions to Lory Student Center - Visit Day Programs (Showcase Colorado State, High School Junior Visit Day, and Transfer Student Visit Day)
- Exit I-25 at Prospect Road (Exit 268.)
- Travel west on Prospect Road approximately 4 miles to College Avenue.
- Turn right (north) onto College Avenue.
- Continue approximately .07 miles and turn left (west) onto Laurel Street.
- Travel west on Laurel Street to Meridian Avenue/Loomis Street.
- Turn left (south) onto Meridian Avenue.
- Travel south on Meridian Avenue to South Drive.
- Turn left (east) onto South Drive, which will take you to the "A"parking lots on the south side of the Lory Student Center. Parking is available in Lots 425 and 420. A Visitor Parking Permit will be mailed to all registered student participants prior to their Visit Day Program.
Traveling from Denver International Airport
Fort Collins is located 65 miles north of Denver International Airport. There are several car rental agencies located at Denver International Airport. If you will be renting a vehicle and driving to Fort Collins, you can follow either of the routes below:
- Take Pena Boulevard to I-70 west, to I-25 north, and follow directions to the Admissions Welcome Center provided above.
- Take Pena Boulevard to E-470 Toll Road north, to I-25 north, and follow directions to campus provided above. Please note that some portions of this route require a toll.
Shuttle service to Fort Collins can be arranged by contacting Shamrock Airport Express at (970) 482-0505.
Campus Parking
Visitors to campus may use specially designated visitor zones, metered or numbered parking (with the appropriate payment), or any of the "A", "W", "X" or "Z" parking areas with a properly displayed Visitor Parking Permit. Improperly parked vehicles, including those without Visitor Parking Permits, will be ticketed. Visitors who receive parking tickets while on campus should inquire about appeals at University Parking Services.
Visitor Parking Permits are not valid at meters or numbered stalls. Visitors opting to park in metered or numbered spaces are responsible for appropriate payment. Tickets received while parked in metered or numbered spaces cannot be appealed nor waived.
Students attending a Daily Information Session and Campus Tour can pick up a Visitor Parking Permit at the reception desk in the Admissions Welcome Center.
Students registered to attend a Visit Day Program will be mailed a Visitor Parking Permit approximately two weeks before the scheduled program.
