We’re here for you.

If you have questions about your next steps, call our admissions team at (970) 491-6909 or email us at admissions@colostate.edu.

If you didn’t create your eID when you first applied, you’ll need to create it now to complete most of the steps for admitted students (call us for help with this step). Your eID will stay with you throughout your CSU experience.

Creating your eID also creates a university email address for you, which becomes the primary email address where other University offices will contact you. Check your email regularly now that you’re admitted.

Ready to create your eID?

Create your eID and university email account here. You’ll need your 9-digit CSU ID number, which we emailed you when you applied.

Before you can register for classes, you’ll need to meet with the academic advisor or academic success coordinator. You’re encouraged to make an advising appointment prior to the opening of registration in May for fall semester and November for spring semester. Academic advising does not come from the Office of Admissions.

You’re encouraged to bring a copy of your transcript with you to your advising appointment. This will help your advisor determine whether you meet certain pre-requisites.

If you prefer, you are welcome to attend Ram Orientation to learn about our traditions, to get introduced to campus services and to register for classes.

On-campus options

CSU offers a wide selection of housing and dining options to ensure all students feel at home on campus. Campus apartments are open to students who are age 21+ or married or who have dependents; applications are accepted year-round. The application for on-campus housing requires a $350 deposit.

Off-campus options

Off-Campus Life offers resources to help you make a successful transition to the Fort Collins community beyond finding a place to live.

Complete the steps on CSU Health Network’s New Student Checklist to make sure your records are complete. You can complete this step anytime prior to enrollment.

RAMweb is the CSU student portal where you eventually will register for classes, check grades, pay account balances and more. You’ll need your eID to log in.

We do not complete course-by-course transfer evaluations for admitted second bachelor’s candidates. Instead, your record will reflect that you have 90 general transfer credits applying to your program. If you need to demonstrate specific courses to fulfill prerequisites or if previous courses may apply to your second degree, contact the Office of the Registrar for instructions. Review your degree progress audit (DARS) in RAMweb to see which courses are required for your degree program.

Be sure to ask your academic advisor whether mathematics and composition will be required for graduation from CSU.

Your admission is provisional until we receive final, official college transcripts showing satisfactory completion of any work in progress and graduation, if applicable.

To avoid possible delays in the financial aid or course registration process, submit your final transcript by January 2 if you’re entering in the spring semester or July 1 if you’re entering in the fall semester. Grades for summer work should be submitted as soon as they are available.
