Justin brings over 15 years of experience in higher education student services to his role here at Colorado State. He started working in college admissions at his undergraduate alma mater of Hanover College (Indiana) and most recently was an academic advisor at the University of California-Davis. Prior to this, he worked for nine years at Colorado State University in various roles. He holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Hanover College and a master’s degree in Applied Industrial/Organization Psychology from CSU.
Hailing from the bluegrass state of Kentucky, Justin currently resides in Woodland, California, with his spouse, 11-year-old son, a dog, and two cats. He’s excited to show more prospective students from Northern California the awesomeness that CSU provides.
Justin, a first generation college graduate, believes there are three factors in choosing a college: 1) fit 2) academics and 3) affordability. “The most important is fit because it is crucial students find a place where they feel comfortable,” he says. Justin likes to think outside the box to help students navigate the complex college landscape. The students he’s worked with over the years have pursued all types of careers, and he enjoys helping students reach their career goals.
