Due to ongoing concerns and preventative measures regarding COVID-19, all prospective student visits between March 16 and April 30 have been canceled. If you have registered for one of these events, you will be contacted via email with more details and upcoming virtual opportunities. For updates on Admissions events, please visit

See yourself here.

You went through countless edits on your application. You waited patiently to hear a decision. And finally, you read two simple words: “You’re In!”

Now that you’re admitted, it’s time to visit campus and learn what’s next. Whether this is your first visit or you’re returning to campus for another look, our admitted student information sessions and campus tours provide an overview of your next steps and allow for a first-hand look at student life at CSU.

(Note: If you’d like to tour a specific academic college/department during your visit, you must contact the college directly to set up an academic interest/department tour ahead of time.)

Our information sessions and tours are designed for first-year admitted students and take place on Fridays during the Spring semester. Students may choose from a morning or afternoon session that includes an opportunity to connect with current students and available counselors during check-in, a general campus tour, and an option for a discounted lunch at an on-campus dining hall.

Supplemental Department Visits

Looking to visit a specific college or department? We want to help you make the most of your visit! Take a look at the available visits and tours from the academic colleges and request your appointment for the same day as your Admitted Student Information Session. It is recommended that you request department visits at least 2-3 weeks in advance.

Additional Visits
  • Overview of admitted student next steps
  • General campus tour
  • Opportunity to connect with current students and admissions staff
  • Optional lunch on campus

Note: Academic interest/department tours are not included in the Admitted Student Info Sessions. Make the most out of your visit by setting up individual appointments with the offices you’d like to meet with the most (i.e. academic program/college, financial aid, housing, etc.) More information about setting up those appointments can be found below.

If you’re interested in visiting with a particular academic department or college during your tour we encourage you to contact them directly. Academic interest/department tours may provide an opportunity to connect with these representatives.

To arrange those visits please visit college contacts page. We recommend arranging visits at least two to three weeks in advance.

Drop-in residential hall tours are available at Allison and Parmelee halls Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Drop-in meetings with the Office of Financial Aid are also available during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Complimentary coffee, tea, and water refill stations will be available during the session.

Dining center meal

We hear it all the time: “How’s the food on campus?”

Well, we encourage you to dine in any of our on-campus dining centers and experience it for yourself. Discount meal tickets are available for purchase ($7.50/person) for all students and guests at check-in.

Lunch tickets are valid from 11:15 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (Following the morning session or before the afternoon session).

Due to university parking policies, all visitors must obtain a parking permit prior to parking on campus. Visitors may obtain an online permit by registering their vehicle’s license plate during the visit registration process. Once a vehicle’s information is registered, there is no need for a physical permit.

These digital permits are valid in any “Reserved Parking for Admission Guest” spaces in front of the building or in any “A” lot to the west of the building. Permits are not valid in “pay to park” spaces. This map highlights available visitor parking. Lots 315 and 310 on the map are classified as “A” lots.

Visitor Parking Permits are not required after 4:00 p.m. or on weekends.
