When will we receive a finalized schedule for the day?

A finalized schedule will be emailed and posted on our website at least 14 days before the event. Once received, look it over and determine how you may want to spend your day.

How do I decide how to schedule my day?

Choose CSU is designed for each guest to tailor their experience to meet their needs. We provide many activities in this one event. Here are some recommendations:

  • Attend the Welcome Session, which will provide further information and recommendations to help you plan your day.
  • Students and guests, split up so that you can gather the most amount of information and share it with one another.
  • Check in with staff at the Admissions Information Table to help you decide what to do.
  • If there’s a session you wanted to go to but had a conflict, do not fret! We can work with you to schedule appointments with Housing, Financial Aid, Tours and Information Sessions, visits with your academic department, and even lunch in the dining hall at another time.

What do I need for check-in?

A couple of days before the event, we will email you with a QR code for check-in. Please have your cell phone out with the QR code pulled up before you get to the scanning table.

Can I bring my parents, guests, caregiver or siblings?

Absolutely! Rams get by with a little help from their herd. We encourage you to bring your parents, guests, or siblings to this event. Please add them to your registration, so we have an accurate attendance count. Guests may choose any sessions they would like to attend. You do not have to attend the same sessions; in fact, we encourage you to spread out to gather as much information as possible.

What if there is a weather emergency?

In the event CSU is closed due to weather, all registrants will receive a text and email notification of the event’s cancellation. A notice also will be posted at safety.colostate.edu. It is rare for CSU to close due to weather thanks to our well-equipped facilities department. However, if the weather is bad and CSU remains open, we want you to make the decision whether to attend based on your circumstances and comfort.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear comfortable, layered clothing appropriate for the weather. You will be walking a lot indoors and outdoors, so comfortable, weather appropriate shoes are encouraged.

Where can we eat lunch during Choose?

We will be providing snacks and beverages throughout the day on the 3rd floor of the Lory Student Center outside of the Grand Ballrooms (where you attend the Welcome Session). Lunch will be on your own. You can choose from on-campus dining centers and purchase lunch for $15/each. The centers also have grab and go options. Also, in the Lory Student Center, a limited number of establishments will be open, including Subway and Sweet Sinsations. See your options
