Admitted Student Reception in Austin

Experience Colorado State University in “Bat City” and the Live Music Capital of the World!

Where it is: This event is held at the Austin Central Library, 710 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701-3821
What it is: At our admitted student reception, experience CSU in your local community. Get the chance to talk to your admission counselor, hear from current CSU students and families, and meet fellow admitted students from your area!
We want to help you imagine life at CSU and learn about your next steps for enrolling. During the event, students will be able to attend a students-only panel, while families will be able to hear more from current CSU family members. We'll provide light appetizers, and you’ll have the chance to take home some CSU swag!
Whether you already know you’re a future Ram or you’re considering you options, this reception offers a unique way to connect with campus from your own back yard.
We are so excited to welcome you and your family to this event, but please keep in mind that space is limited. To serve as many families as possible, we ask that you be mindful of your party count. If possible, we recommend bringing only one or two guests per student.

During this event, your admissions counselor, current CSU students, and family members of current CSU students will be sharing their experiences with Colorado State University. The program will include:
- An introduction
- An overview of the process after admission
- Panelist sessions for students and family members
- Light appetizers and chance to win CSU swag!
Due to limited onsite parking, guests are encouraged to carpool or use alternate modes of transportation. There is a parking garage near the library. From MoPac, take the W. Cesar Chavez exit toward downtown. Then, turn left on West Avenue as you’re approaching the library. The parking garage entrance will be on your right.
Please take the south elevator (closest to Cesar Chavez Street) from either P1 or P2 to the 1st Floor. Exit the elevator and the double doors out to the sidewalk. The Special Event Center entrance is a few steps east of the main library entrance, to the right when you’re facing the building.
Please take a ticket as you enter the parking garage. You will receive a parking validation code at event check-in.
