#1. Visit a pumpkin patch

You can’t take more than a few steps in the fall season in Fort Collins without passing a good ol’ pumpkin patch. The perfect intro to spooky season in Fort Collins is surely a stop at a farm doing its pumpkin harvest. Pop in for delicious treats (kettle corn and cider anyone?), meet a few animals, take a hayride, navigate your way through the corn maze. It’s a quintessential fall experience and a perfect way to get your October rolling.

#2. Venture into a corn maze, Haunted corn maze, or haunted Forest

You can take a creepy walk through the woods in nearby Loveland, or explore the massive haunted maze at Fritzler Farms’ Scream Acres east of Fort Collins in La Salle. There’s nothing like a little scare action after a cozy day of pumpkin carving and spiced lattes, after all.

Be sure to cruise by Two Trees Horse Farm, where you can get a drive-by view of a creative Halloween setup right outside the front gate. In addition, you’ll find a slew of decorated homes in and around the Old Town neighborhood.
