Tours and Information Sessions

Let us show you around our stunning campus at Colorado State University!
Our guided, on-campus tours and information sessions will give you a better understanding of our location, academic programs, and student life here. Get a real feel for CSU and what it means to be a Ram by joining us in Fort Collins.
Our tours and information sessions allow you to build your schedule based on your interests. A variety of options are available so you can tailor your time to suit your needs.
Tours are popular and fill quickly. Walk-ins are welcome, but space on the tour may not be available. In that case, we will offer you a self-guided tour or to have a conversation with an admissions counselor. We encourage you to sign up for your tour before you book your travel arrangements.

Tour options
Admissions information and general campus tour
Admissions sessions and tours are offered Monday through Saturday. The information session is 30 minutes and is followed by a 90-minute campus tour, guided by trained student ambassadors.
Tour stops include the Oval, the Lory Student Center, the Rec Center, an academic building, and a residence hall room or a mock residence hall room. Occasionally, some of these spaces become temporarily closed, so tour locations may change based on availability.
Tour stops do not include the library, Canvas Stadium, a dining hall, or residence hall restrooms (they are actively occupied by current students). Please feel free to visit any of the public locations on your own. You are welcome to eat at any of our dining facilities (dining centers, marketplaces, and online ordering via Grubhub) while on campus!
Academics and student life tours and sessions
Offerings for academics and student life are different based on the day, so we recommend that you look at several days to see the different opportunities available.
Housing tours
Guests will see a dorm room in Parmelee Hall if they take the admissions general campus tour. Also, a mock dorm room is set up in the Welcome Center. Virtual tours also are available by clicking on each hall and then scrolling to the 360 Tour tab.
Signing up and getting here
Admissions information sessions and tours typically run twice a day from Mondays through Saturdays. Academic and student life tours change from day to day, so be sure to check multiple days on the calendar to see what’s available.
Info sessions and tours are not available during CSU holidays and closures.
Because tours are personalized, please check your registration emails for specific details about the locations you’ll be visiting. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your first session to park and check in.
Use our maps of tour locations and parking lots to help plan your visit.
These sessions and tours are free to attend.
We continuously try to make our campus a vibrant and welcoming space. Please check the following information before your visit.
- For the health of our university community, no smoking, vaping or tobacco products can be used on Colorado State University campuses. The city of Fort Collins is also smoke free.
- Colorado State University’s Principles of Community help us express what our community stands for and guide our expectations for not only our students and staff, but also our guests. These values are inclusion, integrity, respect, service, and social justice.
- With the exception of service animals and approved emotional support animals, animals are not allowed to be inside university buildings or tied up outside. All pets must be on a leash in outdoor areas. See the full animal policy here.
- CSU acknowledges that the land we are on today is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute Nations and peoples. You can view our land acknowledgment to learn more.
