Your vibe guide to CSU coffee shops

When it comes to coffee shops around campus, you really can’t go wrong. But as all coffee lovers know, the value of a coffee shop is equal parts good coffee, and good vibes. In honor of National Coffee Day, we’re here with a complete vibe guide for campus coffee.

#1. Morgan’s Grind Café

Location: Morgan Library
Vibe: Studious & Social
Barista’s Pick: White Rabbit

From the coziest fall semesters to the heat of the spring and summer, Morgan’s Grind is in a prime location for a pick-me-up. Inside you’ll find plenty of seating, lots of drink options, and even small bites to keep your energy flowing. It’s great to stay and hang, or grab-and-go. All in all, when it comes to Morgan’s Grind, you come for the coffee, but you stay for studious and social vibes it’s known for. Plus, unlike some of the other coffee shops around campus, this one is open Sundays!

#2. Sweet Sinsations

Location: Lory Student Center
Vibe: Grab & Go
Barista’s Pick: Caramel Apple Cider

Don’t sleep on convenient caffeine. Located right inside the Lory Student Center, Sweet Sinsations is in a prime location to grab some coffee and get on with your day. While this isn’t a coffee shop where you can sit and chill, it’s just a few steps away from the food court inside the LSC. So, grab a cup o’ joe, and head to your next class, or sip on it while enjoying a meal. Wherever you’re headed, Sweet Sinsations is a great pit stop along the way.

#3. Intermissions

Location: Lory Student Center
Vibe: Hidden Gem
Barista’s Pick: Caramel Frappuccino

As far as coffee shops go, consider Intermissions a hidden gem. Nestled in a corner of the Lory Student Center near the theater, it’s a bit removed from the hustle and bustle. As the name states, think of this coffee shop as an intermission in the play that is your life. Come, relax, breathe in the sweet smell of roasted coffee, and lock in. Have a final to study for? They have a seat for you. Just looking for a break from the chaos? There’s a seat for that too. Your first act might have been difficult, draining even. But this coffee shop is exactly what intermissions are for — a much-needed respite to get rejuvenated, caffeinated, and ready for Act II.

#4. Sweet Temptations

Location: Behavioral Sciences Building
Vibe: Modern & Bustling
Barista’s Pick: Aggie’s Delight

Located directly inside the Behavioral Sciences Building, you’ll find Sweet Temptations. Here, you can make all of the BSB your coffee shop, with plenty of places to sit and sip. It’s a perfect stop between classes, nestled between several some of the busiest buildings on campus. No time to eat? Sweet Temptations has you covered with small baked goods to hold you over. But keep in mind: The Behavioral Sciences Building is host to several large lecture halls, so noise might be an issue if you’re planning on studying.
