Katie Stites is the Associate Director of Recruitment for Transfer Initiatives in the Office of Admissions at Colorado State University. Her work focuses on expanding access and strengthening pathways for transfer students through strategic partnerships and innovative programming.

Katie supervises and supports the team responsible for implementing the Ram Transfer Academy (RTA). In addition, she supervises the Colorado Transfer Recruitment team, which travels statewide to connect with prospective students and strengthen partnerships with community colleges. She brings experience in transfer admissions, academic advising, and nonprofit program management, and is passionate about advancing initiatives that reduce barriers and strengthen transfer pathways to bachelor’s degree completion.

Before joining transfer initiatives, Katie served as an academic advisor in Exploratory Studies at the University of Kansas (KU), where she developed a strong interest in improving systems of support for transfer students. She holds a B.A. in Global and International Studies from KU and is currently pursuing an MBA at Colorado State University.
