A fourth-generation Colorado resident, Jon graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a double major in History and Spanish. In college, he had the great fortune to spend a year studying abroad in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica, immersing himself in local culture and language, and traveling throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico. After graduation, he worked as a Spanish interpreter for a refugee resettlement agency in Greeley, Colorado, then went on to work in Bogotá, Colombia, as a teacher and interpreter. Upon returning to Colorado, he completed his master’s degree in Spanish Linguistics at CSU.
Jon has a passion for helping first-generation and Spanish-speaking students/families navigate the admissions process. “I want to help them get on the path to becoming successful Rams,” he says.
