Who it's for: High school seniors (and their guests) who are in the early stages of their college and major explorations.

Where it is: Explore CSU is held at CSU's main campus in Fort Collins at the Lory Student Center.

What it is: At this exciting event, you'll hear from our academic colleges as they share insights into their programs, classes, and research. Then, dive into hands-on, immersive academic sessions with current CSU students and faculty.

Your visit will also include a campus tour, lunch in one of our residential dining halls, and an option to speak with our admissions staff to get all your questions answered.

Join us as we hear from representatives of each of Colorado State University’s eight colleges and exploratory studies program. During this exciting, presentation-style session, you’ll learn about the majors, minors, and concentrations each college has to offer along with how students engage with experiential learning and research.

College of Agricultural SciencesThis session will provide students and families with a chance to tour our classroom spaces in the Nutrien Agricultural Sciences Building and gain insight from current College of Agricultural Studies students.
College of BusinessWe will begin with diving a little deeper into what the College of Business offers students Afterwards, our ambassadors will lead an interactive, planned activity while our recruiter engages with families and addresses their questions. The visit will conclude with a student panel discussion.
College of Health & Human SciencesGet to know the students, advisers, and faculty who will shape your experience at CSU with a transfer student panel and major fair including: Apparel and Merchandising, Construction Management, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Fermentation and Food Science, Health and Exercise Science, Hospitality and Event Management, Human Development and Family Studies, Interior Architecture and Design, Nutrition Science, and Social Work.
College of Liberal ArtsWith the College of Liberal Arts you’ll take on a futuristic challenge and build a dream team of our majors to help solve it! Visit each department’s table to learn fun facts, try hands-on activities, and collect stamps in your passport. Complete your passport and earn a College of Natural Sciences swag item and discover where your curiosity can take you!
College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical SciencesStudents will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in this experiential session.
Walter Scott, Jr. College of EngineeringGuests will receive general information on the College of Engineering followed by participation in lab demos from each major. This session will wrap up with hearing from current students during a student panel where guests can ask questions.
Warner College of Natural ResourcesWarner College’s Academic Experience session will feature a Q&A with current students, faculty, and staff from across our five academic departments. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about our majors and hands-on learning opportunities, and hear firsthand what it’s like to be part of our supportive and passionate community.

Parking for your event is free, but you must provide your vehicle’s license plate when you register for your visit in order to obtain a digital permit.

Parking is available in the Moby Arena parking lot (#195). The best address for GPS directions is 951 W. Plum Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Upon arriving, please park in a “V” parking space.

For those traveling on I-25 to reach Fort Collins, use these directions:

  • Use exit 268, Prospect Road.
  • Head west and continue on Prospect Road for about 5 miles.
  • Turn right on Shields Street and continue for 0.2 miles.
  • Turn right on Elizabeth Street into the Moby Arena Parking lot.
  • Our events are popular and fill quickly. We encourage you to sign up for your event before you book your travel arrangements.
  • Dress appropriately as you will be outside touring campus during your visit.
  • We’re here rain or shine! You’ll be notified via text if the weather does impact your visit. Keep up to date by checking CSU’s safety website.
  • Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and be kind to yourself as you are at 5,000 feet of elevation.

Coming from out of town?

For those traveling to Fort Collins by air, Denver International Airport is the closest major airport to Fort Collins. We are about 65 miles north of the airport, and there are several options for transportation following your flight.

What if we’re running late?

Late check-in will be available, but with hundreds of guests for this event, we encourage you to arrive early. We don’t want you to miss a thing! Classes will be in session, so there will be additional on-campus traffic. Additionally, the interstate can be unpredictable, among other factors. We strive to make check-in as easy and quick as possible, though lines will likely be unavoidable at times.

Can I bring my parents, guests, caregiver or siblings?

Parents and caregivers are welcome to join you for this event. We even have programming specifically for them. If you’d like to bring your friends or siblings who are also current high school juniors or seniors, we ask that they register independently.

What if there is a weather emergency?

In the event CSU is closed due to weather, all registrants will receive a text notification of the event’s cancellation, and a notice will be posted at safety.colostate.edu. It is rare for CSU to close due to weather due to our well-equipped facilities department, but we want you to make the decision whether to attend based on your circumstances and comfort.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. You may be a part of sessions that are both indoors and outdoors, especially if you choose to take the campus tour.
