Transfer Student Visit Day
Learn how CSU provides the support and opportunities you need to be successful as a transfer applicant or student at Transfer Student Visit Day.
When: Friday, February, 20, 2026 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM
Who it's for: Prospective or admitted transfer students
Where it is: This event is held at CSU's main campus in Fort Collins at the Lory Student Center.
What it is: Transfer Student Visit Day is designed to inform and support prospective and admitted transfer students who are considering transferring to CSU.
The event will include one-on-one meetings with a transfer admissions counselor, interactive academic experience sessions where you’ll have the opportunity to meet with current faculty and staff in your area of study, a campus resource fair, lunch provided by CSU, presentations from Housing & Dining and the Office of Financial Aid, and a campus tour.

At Transfer Student Visit Day, you’ll attend one of the Academic Experience sessions listed below that corresponds with your major or area of study. For example, if your major is Psychology, you will attend the College of Natural Sciences Academic Experience Session. Not sure which session to attend? | College of Agricultural Sciences | This session will provide students with an opportunity to interact with advisors and current students from the College of Agricultural Sciences to gain insight into programs, resources, processes, and opportunities. |
| College of Business | Students will receive an overview of the College of Business and offer a detailed explanation of the admissions criteria specifically for transfer students. |
| College of Health & Human Sciences | Get to know the students, advisers, and faculty who will shape your experience at CSU with a transfer student panel and major fair including: Apparel and Merchandising, Construction Management, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Fermentation and Food Science, Health and Exercise Science, Hospitality and Event Management, Human Development and Family Studies, Interior Architecture and Design, Nutrition Science, and Social Work. |
| College of Liberal Arts | During Transfer Student Days, students will join a one-hour session designed to welcome and empower them as they transition into the College of Liberal Arts. The event kicks off with a quick icebreaker to set a friendly tone, followed by a presentation led by the advising director and recruitment coordinator. The presentation highlights flexible pathways, support resources, and real student success stories. A student panel then shares personal experiences, tips for getting involved, and what they wish they’d known as new transfers. The session wraps up with an open Q&A, where students can ask questions directly or anonymously. Attendees leave with practical takeaways, a resource sheet, and a clearer sense of how they can thrive in the liberal arts at CSU. |
| College of Natural Resources | The College of Natural Sciences is where curiosity meets discovery. Join current students, faculty, advisors, and staff to learn how engaging academics, hands-on research, and experiential learning help students turn their passion for science into real-world impact. This session is also a great opportunity to ask questions and connect with the people who support you throughout your transfer journey. |
| College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences | Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences while meeting with advisors from each major in the college. |
| Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering | Guests will receive general information on the College of Engineering followed by participation in lab demos from each major. This session will wrap up with hearing from current students during a student panel where guests can ask questions. |
| Warner College of Natural Resources | Warner College’s Academic Experience will include a brief presentation followed by an interactive Q&A with a panel of current students. Guests will learn about our transfer-friendly academic programs, hands-on learning opportunities, and what it’s like to join our tight-knit community. Representatives from all five departments will be available to answer questions and share resources to support a smooth transfer experience. |

Parking for your event is free, but you must provide your vehicle’s license plate when you register for your visit in order to obtain a digital permit.
Please note that the parking lot for this event (Moby Arena parking lot #195) is a 15-20 minute walk to the venue at the Lory Student Center. Please factor in this time as you plan your travel.
Parking is available in the Moby Arena parking lot (#195). The best address for GPS directions is 951 W. Plum Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Upon arriving, please park in an “A” parking space.
For those traveling on I-25 to reach Fort Collins, use these directions:
- Use exit 268, Prospect Road.
- Head west and continue on Prospect Road for about 5 miles.
- Turn right on Shields Street and continue for 0.2 miles.
- Turn right on Elizabeth Street into the Moby Arena Parking lot.
Coming from out of town?
For those traveling to Fort Collins by air, Denver International Airport is the closest major airport to Fort Collins. We are about 65 miles north of the airport, and there are several options for transportation following your flight.

What if we’re running late?
Late check-in will be available. With hundreds of guests for this event, we encourage you to arrive early and on time. Classes will be in session, so there will be additional traffic to consider. While we strive to make check-in as easy and quick as possible, lines will likely be unavoidable at times, and we want to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Where do I check in?
You will check in on the 3rd floor of the Lory Student Center outside Ballroom A. Look for signs and staff members in green polo shirts. Staff will be stationed in the Lory Student Center to answer your questions and to help you find your way.

Please attend the Academic Experience session with the college where your major is located. Check out the General Agenda tab to learn more.
Can I bring my parents, guests, caregiver or siblings?
Family members and supporters are welcome to join you for this event. If you’d like to bring your friends or family members who are also interested in transferring to CSU, we ask that they register independently for the event.
What if there is a weather emergency?
In the event CSU is closed due to weather, all registrants will receive a text and email notification of the event’s cancellation. A notice also will be posted at safety.colostate.edu. It is rare for CSU to close due to weather thanks to our well-equipped facilities department. However, if the weather is bad and CSU remains open, we want you to make the decision whether to attend based on your circumstances and comfort.
What should I wear?
We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. You may be a part of sessions that are both indoors and outdoors, especially if you choose to attend a supplemental campus tour.

I work at a community college. Can I bring a group of students to the event?
Yes! We are excited to connect with as many students as possible. We ask that each student register independently for the event.
