Are you considering coming to the United States to study? We understand that this is a big and sometimes stressful decision to make. Find out why CSU is a great university to attend and how you can make the application process go smoothly.
#1. Your application won’t look that different from anyone else’s
We want to make the international student experience as simple as possible. All freshman and transfer applicants are required to submit two additional items in their application: English proficiency test results and immigration documents. Transfer applicants should also submit their official college transcripts. You can follow our helpful freshman and transfer application guides to ensure that you submit everything we need.
TIP: Staying organized will help your application process go smoothly. Chat with your international admissions counselor to get help.
#2. You will have the help you need every step of the way
Our dedicated team of counselors are trained to help international applicants easily navigate the admissions process. The international enrollment center is here to talk with you by email, phone, or even video chat if you have any questions or concerns as you apply.
Not sure if CSU is right for you? Our counselors want to help you make the right choice. They will provide you with all the information you need to make sure that CSU is truly the best fit.
#3. We have a thriving international student community
Being away from home can be difficult. It can be even more difficult when if you’re an entire country away from your loved ones. Here at CSU, we take extra steps to surround you with classmates who understand your experience. Your first days on campus will consist of a specialized international student orientation where you will spend time with other international Rams. You will have opportunities to join a variety of international student organizations.
There are housing and dining options to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Your on-campus dining options will include international cuisine stations, located in the Durrell Center and The Foundry, as well as international options in most of the CSU’s other dining centers. Also, if you are 23 or older, you have the option to live in CSU’s International House.
#4. CSU is an amazing place to study
At Colorado State, many elements combine to offer a truly unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
A friendly atmosphere
Both on and off campus, you’ll immediately notice that this place is filled with friendly faces. Helpfulness and a caring attitude is something that makes the CSU community stand out; time and time again visitors comment on the friendly atmosphere.
Personalized academic attention
CSU students get the attention they deserve. Average classroom sizes are small and faculty are regularly available for 1:1 meetings. If you’re looking at a future in research, our faculty believe in a collaborative research environment. This means that they will treat you as a team member, not an assistant.
A small-town feel at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains
CSU is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, which gives you access to everything from one-of-a-kind internship opportunities to mind-blowing outdoor adventures. Although Fort Collins is a growing city, it remains accessible and friendly. The popular and trendy downtown area we call ‘Old Town’ is just a 10 minute walk from campus.
