Concentrations

A concentration allows you to specialize in a certain area within your major, offering a depth of information and hands-on experiences that you may not otherwise get. Many students in this major will concentrate in one area to work in a specific field after college, as well as find mentors and internships before they even graduate.

Art History

Art History provides you a robust education in art history for graduate studies, careers in research and teaching at the college level, positions in museums, libraries, or private collections, or for writing and criticism in the arts.

Integrated Visual Studies

Integrate your visual arts coursework while studying in another discipline. By participating across disciplines and identifying your role in the visual arts and the larger professional communities, you’ll be well prepared for your transition into careers or further study in the arts.

Some Career Options

With your B.A. in Art, you’ll graduate with a wide range of transferable communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Participation in internships, cooperative education, service learning, and education abroad opportunities is highly recommended to enhance practical training and development.
