Construction engineering bridges the technical expertise of civil engineering with the real-world application and business savvy of construction management. Construction engineers are full-cycle experts, from the vision of the initial design to the value engineering proposal to the completed structure. The major offers three focus areas: Heavy Civil Infrastructure, Structures and Buildings, and Water and Environmental Systems.

With your Construction Engineering degree, you’ll be able to design and build large-scale projects such as bridges, dams, highways, tunnels, and airports. You’ll use your engineering and technical expertise to conceptualize and create designs for major infrastructure, buildings, and water systems to be safer, faster, and more affordable to build. Then, you’ll see your design through to completion with your business and project management expertise. Construction engineers are highly paid and highly sought after in both the public and private sectors.
