Are you more comfortable in a saddle than a study chair? Welcome to the most-comprehensive Equine Science major in the country.
As an Equine Science major, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of horses in the business, recreational, and production aspects of the horse industry. Currently, CSU has the most-comprehensive equine program in the United States, with major efforts in research, teaching, and public service. Throughout your time here, you’ll take foundational courses in equine reproduction, genetics, and nutrition and disease management, as well as 20+ hands-on courses that cover all aspects of the industry.

Equine Science majors leave CSU with a wide range of job prospects in the animal, animal medicine, and recreation industries.
