Ready NoCo Application Workshop

When: Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 1:30 to 7:30 PM.
Who it's for: Rising high school seniors in Northern Colorado. If you are from out of state, please visit our website for alternate options to join us on campus.
Where it is: Ready NoCo Application Workshop is held at CSU's main campus in Fort Collins and starting at the Michael Smith Natural Resources Building.
What it is: Ready NoCo Application Workshop is an event designed to prepare you for the college application process! Our admissions counselors will walk you through an interactive workshop that includes tips and tricks about the application & college search process, financial aid & scholarship information, and more. The workshop is for students only and will run from 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM. Families will join their students for a complimentary dinner at 5:00 PM at The Foundry. After dinner, families will hear from our Executive Director of Admissions, Heather Daniels, while their students take a sunset campus tour.

Ready NoCo will help you feel more confident about the college application process, and it’s never too early to start preparing! Take some time to explore the application process and get familiar with what you’ll need when it’s time to apply. As you think about your application, remember that grades and coursework are only part of your story. We want to learn about your background, skills, and perspectives that will challenge and support others on campus. That’s where your admissions essay comes in. Your essay helps tell your story and gives us a chance to get to know you. We’ll cover all of this and more during Ready NoCo, and we can’t wait to help you take the next step in your college journey!
For students arriving by 1:30 PM: Parking for your event is free, but you must provide your vehicle’s license plate when you register for your visit in order to obtain a digital permit.
For families driving separately and arriving at 5:00 PM: Parking is free, and no permit is required.
Parking is available at the Morgan Library parking lot (#425). If you are using a GPS, the best address is Morgan Library Parking Lot, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Overflow parking is available in the Engineering lot (#310), just north of the Lory Student Center. Upon arriving, please park in an “A” parking space.
- Our events are popular and fill quickly. We encourage you to sign up for your event before you book your travel arrangements.
- Dress appropriately as you will be outside touring campus during your visit.
- We’re here rain or shine! You’ll be notified via text if the weather does impact your visit. Keep up to date by checking CSU’s safety website.
- Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and be kind to yourself as you are at 5,000 feet of elevation.

Can I bring my parents, guests, caregiver or siblings?
Parents and caregivers are welcome to join you for this event, and we have programming specifically for them starting at 5PM.
What if there is a weather emergency?
In the event CSU is closed due to weather, all registrants will receive a text notification of the event’s cancellation, and a notice will be posted at safety.colostate.edu. It is rare for CSU to close due to weather due to our well-equipped facilities department, but we want you to make the decision whether to attend based on your circumstances and comfort.
What should I wear?
We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. You may be a part of sessions that are both indoors and outdoors, including the campus tour.
