Pre-health at CSU: A Q&A

Are you considering a career in the health professions? As an undergraduate student at CSU, you’ll receive the pre-health support you need from our Health Professions Advising services. Watch the video above and read a little more below to learn how the advising track works and why it helps you prepare for a bright future in healthcare.

About pre-health

Pre-health advising at CSU is not a major or degree program. Rather, it offers one-on-one expert guidance to undergraduate students who plan to apply to health profession programs upon graduation. This could include medical school, dental school, physician assistant school, nursing school, and many other areas of healthcare.

The program does not require you to choose a specific undergraduate major. Pre-health advising is open to any student — in any major — who is interested in a career in healthcare.

Our health professions advisors know what it takes to be prepared for health professions and their grad programs. Throughout your time as an undergraduate, they will support you in choosing the right prerequisite classes, getting hands-on clinical experience, applying to professional programs, and interviewing. And, they are happy to work with prospective students and alumni, too.
