A concentration allows you to specialize in a certain area within your major, offering a depth of information and hands-on experiences that you may not otherwise get. Many students in this major will concentrate in one area to work in a specific field after college, as well as find mentors and internships before they even graduate.
You’ll focus on the science and art of helping people evaluate their lifestyles to move toward a state of optimal health. You will be prepared for numerous careers in corporate wellness, health clubs, hospital-based rehabilitative and wellness programs, military/tactile training programs, and insurance-related health promotion programs.
This is a pre-professional program where you’ll focus on human movement. This science-intensive path will take you through kinesiology, chemistry, physiology, and anatomy to better understand the inner workings of the human body. It’s designed to help you prepare for graduate or professional school in medicine, physical therapy, exercise physiology, or scientific research.
Your degree in Health and Exercise Science leads to a wide array of health-focused professions, as well as prepares you for graduate study in a variety of medical fields. The rigorous science curriculum provides you with options to enter fields like physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation work, public health, and so much more.
