What’s your snow vibe?

Tap the snow vibe that fits you best and keep watching to see how the flakes — er, votes — are falling! Thousands of potential future Rams and friends of Colorado State University are weighing in!

The Pro

Hitting the mountains immediately

Maybe you were raised on the slopes, and maybe you learned to ski/board later in life and found your home away from home somewhere between the bunny slope and the black diamond. Either way, when the flurries fly, you’re hitting the hills.

Did you know CSU Rams get deep discounts during ski season? Students who join the CSU Snowriders Club or the CSU Alpine Ski Team can get a discount on the Ikon Pass, which provides access to almost all major ski resorts in Colorado.

When Colorado turns winter white, you see nothing but a blank canvas. The flakes fall, and you’re gearing up to make something beautiful, whimsical, or eye-catching. Maybe it’s a snowman, maybe it’s a snowCAM, maybe it’s a mini CSU campus that will stop every student and professor in their tracks on the way to class.

Here are some fun things to help your artsy soul soak up the beautiful Colorado season and get inspired.

The Spectator

Watching it fall from a cozy coffee shop window

It’s blustery, cold, and beautiful, but you know the weather is best appreciated from a cushy-warm seat in a java-scented paradise. When the storm rolls in, everyone knows they can find you in your favorite hoodie with your hands wrapped around a toasty cup of something sweet, creamy, and delicious.

Here are some perfect places to do just that while enjoying the winter wonderland at Colorado State.

"I've never seen snow before, so I'm just going to scream."

Sometimes we forget that not everyone grows up with Colorado winters, and that’s where you come in, warm-weather friend. Maybe you want to come here for the amazing things CSU offers, and maybe you want to come for a whole different seasonal experience. Lucky you! You get both here!

If you’ve never seen your own breath as you walk to class, or learned the tough lesson about waterproof footwear, never fear. Here are some ways to survive (and thrive) in snow-covered Colorado.
