Re-activate your NetID and CSU email

Check your application email for instructions to re-activate your NetID and CSU email. Depending upon how long you’ve been away, you may have completely new login credentials OR you may just need to refresh your password.

Log into RAMweb

RAMweb is the CSU student portal where you manage your student record, see your financial aid awards, register for classes, check your grades, pay your bill, and more. While you’re in RAMweb, you can check for holds on your registration or other notifications that will help you prepare to for the semester.

Contact your academic advisor and register for classes

Before you can register for classes, you may be required to meet with an academic advisor. You can find your advisor using this directory.

If you’re returning as a second bachelor’s level student, you are not required to complete a full undergraduate degree; however, if you intend to complete a full degree, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Minimum of 30 semester credits at CSU (after admission as a Second Baccalaureate student) beyond the credits earned at the time you graduated with a previous baccalaureate degree.
  2. All curriculum requirements for the new major, including All-University Core Curriculum Category 4 requirements and AUCC Categories 1-3 if applicable.
  3. Minimum of 27 unique credits for the major not used toward completion of the previous baccalaureate degree.

Find housing if needed

Fall start: The on-campus residence hall application opens in January. The on-campus apartment application is open year-round.

Spring start: The on-campus residence hall application opens mid-September. The on-campus apartment application is open year-round.

Summer start: The on-campus residence hall application opens in January. The on-campus apartment application is open year-round.

On-campus options

CSU offers a wide selection of housing and dining options to ensure all students feel at home, including on-campus apartments.

The on-campus housing application requires a $300 deposit plus a $50 nonrefundable application fee.

Questions about living on campus, the housing application, or the housing deposit can be directed to Housing & Dining Services.

Important note: If you originally enrolled at CSU as a first-time freshman and did not complete your two semester live-on requirement before stopping out, you’re encouraged to contact Housing & Dining Services to see whether you’ll be required to live on campus when you return.

Off-campus options

Off-Campus Life offers resources beyond finding a place to live. You are encouraged to start your search for off-campus housing early. Turnover is common at the beginning and end of each academic term, but leases may need to be secured several weeks in advance.

Apply for financial aid

Fall start: The FAFSA opens in December and has a priority deadline of March 1. Many scholarship applications also have a March 1 deadline.

Spring start: The FAFSA opens in December.

Summer start: The FAFSA opens in December.

You’re encouraged to take action early, especially if you need to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal in order to restore your eligibility to receive aid.

Complete health requirements

Complete the steps on CSU Health Network’s new student checklist to support our commitment to a safe, healthy campus. Steps include submitting required health and immunization records, completing online health or safety programs, and documenting insurance coverage.

Submit your final transcripts

If you completed additional college work AFTER your last attendance at CSU, be sure to submit an official transcript in order to be reviewed for credit in transfer.
