Restoration Ecology teaches you how to use intervention methods to revive natural areas and to examine the science behind ecosystems. While the coursework includes everything from the fundamentals of ecology to global cultural awareness to natural resources, you’ll also spend time in the field. The stunning rangelands, forests, and mountains near campus are perfect places to do research and explore, and the CSU Restoration Ecology program is one of the few stand-alone majors of its kind in the nation.

You will gain the important knowledge and skills necessary to restore damaged ecosystems. You’ll explore how to manipulate soil, water, vegetation, and animal resources in order to implement successful restoration for local, state and federal land management agencies, as well as for a variety of private entities and landowners.
